Can you imagine trying to clean up an entire body covered with slime and goo? That is just what my husband and I did tonight. Gelli Baff and Slime Baff from Zimpli Kids are a fun product designed for bath time or water play. I chose to fill a bath tub with several packages of Gelli Baff and Slime Baff. Then I let my six year old climb in. The results were lots of laughs. I also found myself and hubby covered in slime and goo.
Slowly pour the Slime Baff mixture into the tub under the running water and then mix it around. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes for the slime to thicken up completely. It is best if you use three or more packages. Start mixing it around right away or it will clump. Ours clumped a little, however it eventually broke down. Well most of it.
Miss P had a blast playing in her slime bath. She enjoyed filling her cup up with the slime and watching it ooze out of the cup. I was amazed at how long this kept her entertained. She spent over an hour in the tub playing.
I need to note that it is dangerously slippery. Do not allow your children to stand in the tub at all once they are in. Seriously! I suggest you help them get in and out. You don’t need your child banging their head. I also recommend wearing a bathing suit before indulging yourself into a bathtub of slime especially if you are female for obvious reasons. You don’t need slime up unnamed areas.
The Gelli bath took a little bit longer to form then the slime. It never did turn to the correct consistency, but I think that is because I accidently added the salt package to the water. My daughter didn’t notice, therefore all was good and right in her bath time fun mermaid ocean world.
Surprisingly the cleanup was a lot more difficult than it was the first time I used it. I think it is because I mixed the Gelli Baff and slime together. I also forgot to add salt to dissolve the Gelli bath when play time was over. Sadly our bath tub is a bit clogged now.
All in all thought it is a lot of fun for kids. I don’t think I will do it again anytime soon. I am sure I head my name being cursed a few times while the hubby was cleaning the tub. Next time, I will be sure to purchase a box of salt to have on hand.
